Breast Pumps and Beyond Proprietary Limited (“BP+B’ or “Breastpumps + Beyond”) is the authorised distributor of Medela in Southern Africa.
In your breast pump box, you will find the Medela International Warranty. This warranty states that – Medela AG warrants to the customer who has purchased the new product from its authorised distributor or retailer that this product will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for one (1) year.
Breastpumps and Beyond offers an extended one (1) year warranty on your breast pump, thus giving you a two (2) year warranty. In order to activate this extended warranty, we request that you register your pump here.
Products purchased by non-authorised distributors eg: internet market places (including but not limited to eBay, Amazon, Gumtree, Junk mail, or individuals publicly selling their equipment on the second-hand market), auctions or other types of public sales are not covered by this warranty.
Medela and/or BP+B will not be liable if the alleged defect or malfunction was caused by Customer’s or any other person’s improper dealing with the product. This applies for the following actions:
-improper handling in disregard of operating instructions;
-repair, modification, or maintenance, etc. of the product which is not carried out by a Medela Service Centre; and / or
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or alleged defects or malfunctions caused by excessive load or stress, incorrect voltage, or any other cause beyond the range of its intended use as well as by accident, fire, or other hazards, or other cause not due or attributable to Medela or BP+B.
This warranty does not cover physical damage to the product or malfunctions resulting from the use of the product in conjunction with any sort of ancillary or peripheral equipment. In such cases, there is no defect of the product itself in the sense of this International Warranty.
Breastpumps + Beyond is not an authorised service centre and therefore is not authorised to repair breast pumps.
Should your product be defective, due to a factory fault and we are unable to restore it to working order, we will authorise a replacement, provided you are the original purchaser and proof of purchase can be provided.
If the breast pump was purchased outside of Southern Africa, it is important to note that, the warranty lies with the supplier from the country where the product was purchased.
